So you know I usually have multiple photos of baby feet, those teeny tiny toes and soft pudgy skin get me every time!!  Well, this time I kinda had a different obsession- meet Jake.  And meet Jake’s brand new just-had-a-bottle-pulled-from-my-mouth lips… doesn’t he have the most precious baby lips ever!  it really was hard for me to focus on anything else!!

Last week I had the honor of photographing tiny baby girl Natalee and her beautiful mom and sis.  Natalee is truly a little miracle… born several weeks before schedule without a hitch.  Just two weeks old and a teeny 5 pounds 12 ounces, but you wouldn’t know it by her strength and persistence when she’s hungry!  She surprisingly stayed awake until the very end- determined to outlast me, but I didn’t mind getting some shots of these amazing eyes, so new and pure… I get why they say eyes are the windows to the soul…

I have no idea how Natalee could be so beautiful… oh yeah… check out her momma!Fun with the girls!

So I came across this session as I was backing up all my files and realized I never blogged it! and so even though I took these photos back in March I still wanted to post them because I had some definite favorites… and I like to share favorites.

Livy and her baby sister Morgan were such sweet little angels…

Can I hold her? Looking at this picture reminds me of when my babies would fall asleep in my arms… and I’d think “ya know… I really should put her down and get some things done around the house…  but naaa”

A friend of mine has decided to open her home to foster newborns.  Her and her husband are graciously giving up sleep for these babies during the waiting period before they are either given to their new adoptive family or the biological family decides to parent.  It is an understatement to say that these situations need prayer… lots of prayer that these new lives will be in hands that will cherish them.  

Lea Ann agreed to let me photograph the babies during this time, as a gift to the parents that are missing some of these precious first days of life…
